Where JNofollow comes from

Nofollow control in Joomla has a tradition: the classic “Marco Nofollow” concept accompanied site owners through the early Joomla years. When Joomla 4 arrived, that era ended – and instead of letting the idea die, we rebuilt it from scratch: JNofollow's 6.x line is a complete, modern rewrite for Joomla 4 & 5, honoring the classic concept (including backward-compatible {mnf=off} tokens for grown content) while adding what today's sites need – whitelist, blacklist, per-link bypasses, settings export and a bilingual backend.

Who builds it

JNofollow is developed by Alexander Müller, founder of SEO NW – a white-hat SEO agency from Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, working since 2012 on the unspectacular principle that clean technology and honest content outlast every trick. The plugins are the public part of that philosophy: small tools that do exactly one thing correctly, free of charge, free of hidden agendas – the source is open, and the FAQ answers the backlink question in writing.

The small family

JNofollow has a sister: JStats brings Matomo or Google Analytics to Joomla sites the same lightweight way. Both plugins share the update infrastructure, the support address and the promise of staying free under the GPL.
